David LaMantia, a seasoned professional with 50 years in the construction industry and a dedicated community servant, announced his candidacy today for the Town of Ellicott Ward 2 Town Council. With a strong emphasis on promoting open government principles, LaMantia pledges to bring transparency and accountability to local governance.
"I've spent '50 years knowing the business of being in business,' and I am committed to bringing that same level of dedication and integrity to serve the Town of Ellicott. I believe in transparent, accountable governance” said LaMantia in his announcement.
A Lifetime of Experience: A graduate in Building Design from SUNY Alfred, LaMantia’s career spans 50 years in construction business and management. As the current CEO of a prominent property management company, he has in-depth experience in planning, development, and fiscal responsibility—critical skills for managing town infrastructure and budget.
A Legacy of Community Service: In addition to his professional experience, LaMantia has also been an active community servant. He has served on the Board of Directors for both the Regional Youth Ballet and the Chautauqua Co. Fund for the Arts. As a Soccer Association sponsor and the Cubmaster for Celeron Pack 177 from 1997 to 2003, LaMantia has demonstrated a commitment to youth development. "I bring a lifetime of community service, from boardrooms to soccer fields!" LaMantia stated.
